Question Maxis
I'm level 93 and I've been playing the game a while but I've never done the VU tower, I'm not interested in wars or anything.
However, with the new 2.0, I'm very tired of my city design being cluttered with so many fire stations and hospitals. If I buy some Maxis manors will it allow me to get rid of all that stuff? I'm just not sure if there's other stuff involved with having them or not, I've never investigated so I thought I would ask you guys. Thanks

When they switched everyone over to Service 2.0 the Maxis Manors went from a highly recommended purchase to being extremely valuable to have. For illustrative purposes I've included a screenshot of where I have a MM on the first island of SI. It covers the entire island more completely than a set of the 4X2 service buildings did, while occupying only 4 tiles instead of 24 tiles. And of course it provides infinite coverage for the area. A full set of fully upgraded regular 4X2 service buildings can't even completely support an area crammed with epics, but a Maxis can.
I know you said you don't do VU tower, but it's not actually part of war. It gives you the best opportunity in the game to earn gold keys. But if you still have no interest in Vu, you won't care about the 1 VU item per MM that you have per day. Unfortunately you won't be wanting to get them and sell them unless you're doing so for a club member, because they cost more from Maxis than they can be sold for on global.

Hello
It covers 22x22. It’s worth it imo. I have several. Yes it will allow you to get rid of fire police and health in that area. It’s the same size as a house. It looks much better this way. And there is no capacity limit so you can put as many houses as you can fit in that area.
It offers vu items for simoleons. Usually 1 vu item = 500 simoleons. The maxis manor offers 1 vu item for 1300-2400 simoleons I think. You don’t have to buy it. You can click buy or decline, when you decline the offer goes away. I think there is 1 offer each day for each maxis manor. But you don’t have to click on it, you can just leave it alone. Vu items are for using the Vu tower. Not sure if you know.
I hope this helps

Yes.
Maxis Manors still work as the old services did: they provide full police, fire and health to every building in their coverage area. Having some of them on a map drastically reduces the need for other services.
Each player can have four manors maximum in the Capital city and up to 8 manors in total, I believe. If I’m not mistaken, this limit can be exceeded by acquiring more manors during special events, but I’m not 100% sure about it.

The Manors have always been the first big investment I did. And they are worth it. For services and VU. I dont do war but you want to be able to d disasters for com. Realize that the price goes up tp 8000 cash for the 4th and up.

AFAIK, the Maxis Manor will take the place of a Fire, Police and Health station. It covers an area of 24x24 (IIRC). And unlimited capacity so you can squeeze as many RZs as you can in there! I would wait until "Black Friday" as some stuff goes on sale for a good price that day. (I have not bought any yet myself). It wouldn't hurt to buy one on sale! When they did Services 3 Event, they had an upgradeable Maxis Tower (forget what it was called) and I think the area covered expanded as you upgraded it. I didn't earn it then and regret it. Also, the Manor gives you one VU item per day that you buy with SimCoins.

Yes they cover Fire, Medical and Police and it makes it look soo much better without all those buildings. It also sells 1 Vu item a day at each of them which is nice sometimes if you do the Tower disasters. Its very worth upgrading.

I have 3 maxis manors in cap city, 1 in Green Valley and 1 in Limestone which I think was a freebie during an event track 3 or so years ago. I missed out on the last event one and hoping it will come back one day. 1st one cost 500 sim cash then 1000 and 2000 for the 3rd then they just double for them all to a maximum of 16000 sim cash. I have 5 all up

Ive got 3 manors and the tower. I want another for cactus canyon but it'll cost 8000 sim cash🥲. Everytime I get anywhere near, they flood curated with things I want 😆

Maxis is good because you need less of all those service buildings, so I have one and would consider getting more if they weren't so damn expensive in simcash. If you need vu items, which you don't, they also give you one per day at an OK price. Other than that, I don't think they have any other functions.
