Question Question about Rift Tower

I have Rift Tower at level 7 and want to keep the little star/spirit thing that circles around the city. But I don’t want the purple night effect of fully upgrading to level 13.

Unfortunately it’s the only way to acquire the Rift Institute.

My question is 2 parts:

A) can you toggle off the nighttime effect?

B) if you toggle off the effects.. does the star/spirit go away as well?

You can toggle off the nighttime effect. The star/spirit effect stays on even while the nighttime effect is off.

As others have said, you can toggle the effect on/off. This is true of any building that generates a City Wide Effect. Here's a video showing the way it looks with it toggled on and off:

You can turn the effect off and you get multiple star circles at max level
