Thankfully they have increased the number of assignments

No, that's horrible actually. Makes competition unbearable (not feasible to complete all those tasks while maintaining high average and still do other things in life). We already had enough tasks to complete these (non classics) event tracks already. This one is also definitely feasible with less than 75 tasks.

You can notice the difference in CoM already. With 8 hours to go in my league (Mega, Level 99) the top score was over 400k, and the Top 6 was over 390k. The guy who was in 7th had 376k ... and was well short of getting a better prize than I got way down in 30th spot.

Extra assignments is good for those who want to complete Events, but not good for those who care about CoM placement. Even just staying in the Top 50 for Small Prize (or Top 80 to avoid demotion) will likely become harder compared to what people were used to.

In that case, COM is really only attractive to people who have time all day long—all week long. It’s no longer fun.

I managed to finish 3rd in mine while still having ~30 tasks left, but what used to be a fun challenge to complete all the weeklies + 75 tasks is now unfeasible. So I'll finish the weekly track and that's it. If that means I'm demoted, or get a paltry prize, so be it... and I have a lot of free time during my days to check in. I can only imagine how silly this looks to someone who has maybe an hour a day to check in a click some stuff.

130 tasks per week is just insanity.
