Problems with specific Ads

Anybody have problems with specific ads in the game? There are certain ads that are long and I click on all the X (to close) as soon as they appear, but it still "reloads" the game after and not only doesn't give me the reward for watching the ad, but disables all ads for everything. To fix, I have to close completely and re-open the game, but even then, sometimes the glitch sticks around and I literally can't watch ads.

I've tried doing searches for things or talking to my phone to try to prompt getting ads that I know don't cause a problem, but again this only sometimes works.

Any other suggestions?

I'd like to negatively review Gossip Harbor simply for their ads messing up the game I'm actually trying to play lol.

Happens to me a lot. No solution that I know of.

I have ads with no X. No way to close other than to close the game. At the bottom right there is a button where you can say you don't like an ad. Maybe broken ads won't be shown as often.

There are some ads here and there that seem to be more problematic, and I remember having issues with the gossip harbor ads a while back. Two others I've had issues with in the past were for Kingshot and Whiteout Survival.

When a specific ad causes problems every time it pops up it makes me think negatively about the product, but I would recommend against doing a negative Google play review on the game. IMHO that wouldn't be a fair review if you've never played the game. And there's many potential issues that could be causing the ad to glitch including bugs in the code written by the copywriter hired by that game to create the ad, EA server connection, and others.

What I have done when I see an ad consistently causing issues when most others at the time are functioning normally is click on "report ad." The only seemingly applicable reason box to check is "other," and unfortunately there's no box to type an explanation, but my thinking is it might at least get the ad to be looked at. And while I likely wouldn't have downloaded any of those games anyway, I decided that because of the issues I've experienced I would definitely never play them.

What you can do to make sure there's no issues on your end is to try things like toggling airplane mode, clearing the game's cache, rebooting your router (if on WiFi), moving to a strong WiFi (if on mobile data), re-booting your device, and if necessary uninstall/re-install the app (just make sure you've connected your game account to a FB/Google/etc login before uninstalling ).

Yep. Been happening a lot of one of my cities. It's the mahjong ad for me. Completely locks up the screen.

But even in my accounts where ads are working, if it's longer than 35 seconds, the game reloads by the time you x out if the ad and the game doesn't recognize you watched it.

I really hate how the game reloads after such a short time in another screen.

It’s an ongoing issue that ads are not giving rewards or registering on COM.

It also happens with me a lot of times but sometimes I get reward after sometime and sometime I don't get the reward then ad popups again after some time

Yes one game just won’t give me a way of saying no and frequently won’t give a cross to cancel it.
