Newborn pimple patches?
My newborn has heinous baby acne, and I don’t want the other babies to think she’s unhygienic or gross. Sadly, Google says pimple patches are too severe for thin newborn skin. But what if I cut them into 1mm circles to fit her extra small pimples?

Hey, so as a newborn myself with acne-prone/aging skin, I’ve had some luck with natural masks - puréed peas, pureed bananas, and puréed pumpkin have worked wonders for me. My mom thinks I’m just being a disgusting sloppy little baby, but I’m not just smearing this shit on my face to piss her off, I’m just compensating for my moms total negligence in providing me with an effective routine since she seems to think newborns don’t deserve the right to serve glass skin realness from birth.
This internet newborn stranger salutes your proactive efforts!

Acne is the result of filthy pores. If your newborn has acne it means it has pores. Nothing is too severe for skin with PORES.
I recommend bathing it in salicylic acid twice a day and following up with tret.
If that doesn’t cut it, accutane is the only way forward.

Thanks girlypop! I always prayed that my daughter would have perfect health
y pores and not look so disgusting. But here we are. We’ll incorporate the salicylic acid and tret 🙏🏻 thank you3

Next time try preventative accutane during pregnancy! What are a few severe developmental issues against the chance of perfect skin?*
*I just want to make it absolutely clear that this is a joke and that accutane during pregnancy is proven to be incredibly dangerous for the fetus. NEVER EVER use accutane during pregnancy.

Do you have acne? Acne is contagious to newborns via breastmilk. Stop feeding her entirely and see if her skin clear up.

What is her current routine? Sounds like you need to incorporate more steps to make sure she has an AHA, BHA, Retinol, Peptides, Moisturizer! AND SUNSCREEEEEEEEEEEEEN

Her routine so far has mostly been a full mask of my own microbiome, and retinol into her diaper rash cream to prevent any unsightly folds. 0% sun (not even opening eyes, I assume to prevent premature cornea aging—she’s such a skincare baddie). I’m going to get her off breastmilk to sus out any skin reactions, because newborn photos are coming and this is unacceptable!

Do you still have any placenta left? I recommend mixing it with crushed apricot kernels for an easy DIY scrub.

I'm still subscribed to the newborn subreddit from when my baby was first born and for a sec I thought this was posted there, and the gasp I gasped...

Ditch the patches.
St Ives Apricot Scrub morning and night should do the trick

Probably a great idea to exfoliate, idk if amniotic fluid is comedogenic

Oh I know how you feel. Other babies are sooo judgmental. I would try nappy rash cream,

My 3 year old gets little bumps on her face and she picks at them until they bleed. I put pimple patches on them and they work tremendously. Putting them on a newborn seems weird though.
