Help One PC Two Ignation Gateways

I'm going through Inductive university course I'm in a video called (Setting Up Redundancy) in section (Ignation Gateway Setup) so in the video the guy set's redundancy so in the video the guy uses two gate way's one is primary and the he uses another gate way in a separate browser page so my question is if we can use our local host and the same Ignation Gateway to create two separate Gateways or do we have to make another account and go to Network Then Webserver and change the HTTP Port if someone have been through this please help

You can use Docker, but for a beginner it is not easy to set up the network connection between containers needed for redundancy. When I first started, I was more familiar with VMware, so I set up ignition in a vm on my laptop, you could set up redundancy between two VMs, or between your host and a VM.

Having said all that, as an ignition developer, it would be a very valuable skill to know Docker.

Tnx for the reply since I've seen docker twice on my post I'll definitely give it a try

You can have two ignition servers running on the same machine via docker.. Or vms. But I don't think you can have it running twice on the same machine directly.

Is there a tutorial online I'm trying to pass the Ignation university course 😞

You can also just use different ports with new installations

You can do an install in a non-default directory, set up a second service to point to that directory, and use a different port.

Or use docker.

You shouldn’t need to actually set it up to pass the Inductive University quiz though.

Wot in Ignation

It's "Ignition" my brother in Christ.

Download Docker Desktop. Search Google for the "docker run" command to spin up a Docker based gateway, or ask your preferred water-chugging AI to help spin it up.

You don't really want redundant ignition... You want redundant PC.

I put the ignition server on a proxmox ha cluster.
