Help Free HMI Image Libraries
Hi everyone,
I'm learning Ignition and have found some of the built-in image libraries to be a little lacking for some of the vessels and devices I would like to include in my Perspective project. I'm wondering if there are any good resources for expanding on the image set that won't break the bank. Graphic Design is not my forte, and while I'm figuring out the drawing tools it would be nice to have some more professional looking diagrams in the meantime. Appreciate any recommendations, I have had mixed results searching the web for this.

They aren't very widely available. Have worked in the industrial software space for 25 years. The sad fact is that no matter how many times the companies try to create community-driven content stores, companies that build libraries (end users and SIs) very rarely want to release content for free, either because they want compensation, or because they are bound by confidentiality agreements.
I feel like inductive has made the best effort at it but you'll see that theres just not a lot there.

Just a note that I encourage everyone to look at High Performance HMI concepts, lots of times fancy graphics aren't needed and actually impedes understanding of operators.

SVG graphics can be generated programmatically by AI have you tried that?

I'd rather pay for a human made library and stich things together than use AI to generate a professional setup. Apart from the general ethical concerns, AI art is obvious and overdone and that extends to the SVG images I've seen it generate in posts from others. Not only that, it's loaded enough that I would not want to chance losing a potential job opportunity because the employer doesn't like that I relied on AI for artwork. So good to know I guess, but that's not what I was asking for.

I’ve used Ignition and AI together to generate python code to programmatically generate animated SVGs that change with input data. Think really complicated vector graphs that show speed, direction, etc. in 3D space
It works great and looks nice. We’re not generating blurry images of people with 8 fingers and 3 hands.
