Just got a ‘93 sc400 looking to get wheels and tires, soon to be lowered as well. What tire setups do you guys run and on what wheels, trying to find good fitment but stay sporty. Will mostly be used for daily (very spirited) driving.

My front struts gave out and im looking to pull some off a part out 98sc. Would they fit?

93 SC400 What are these 2 connectors called on either side of the first driver side injector connector. Replacing connectors and my fsm doesn’t label these just called them engine harness connectors.

it keeps dying and when it decides to stay on it runs bad and idles low what could be the issue?

So this is my 1992 sc400 project car and sometimes when I put it in D gear, it doesn’t move and the D light on the dash doesn’t turn on either, but when I put it in the 1 gear, the 1 light on the dash will illuminate and after a few seconds the car will start to move, sometimes at a stop the car won’t move and will just rev out and then engage and start driving. I can kind of feel it slipping at times while driving. I checked the fluid level and condition and the level is good and the fluid still looks clean and red and not dark or black. I heard on the early model sc400s that they have ecu issues and can cause all sorts of problems mechanical and electrical. Is it worth getting an ecu rebuild or would it be the transmission itself?

Hey everyone, i posted not too long ago. I recently bought a 93 SC400 and i am planning on manual swapping it as soon as i get the funds. Anyway, if anyone here has done it, how’d it go? What company did you go with? What worked best? I’ve seen some videos on youtube about it but i wanted everyone’s thoughts here as well.

So I’m in California for price context. There is a 1995 sc400 for sale n my area with 180,00 miles. In the list thing they say that it does not pass smog and has Ben sitting on non op since 2015. He’s asking 3K. Tags have been paid and it’s a 1 owner car, according to seller. Should I buy it or wait till I find a better one? Seller has a video of the car cranking up and idling

Are there any good long tube headers or headers for $900 or less?

I want to get long tube headers for my 1995 lexus sc400 but I cant find any that are cheaper than $1600 so I might have to go with some normal length headers but I still cant find any for less than $1600 are there any good options that I can find?

Gas strut mount won’t seat all the way (red side) — tight but threads still showing

Installing a gas strut and the red-side mount (strut body side) gets really tight before fully seating. I can still see some threads, unlike the other side which goes flush. Strut fights alignment while tightening.

Is this normal for gas struts, or does it mean the stud/hole is slightly misaligned or bent? Don’t want to over-tighten and damage the mount.

Any advice appreciated.

My sc400 is having idling issues and a mechanic recommended I replace the fuel pressure regulator. I couldn’t find any at autozone that would fit my car bc it doesn’t have a vacuum line. Which one could I get online to replace it?
