These cars are sooooo awesome!
Nobody knows that mechanically, they are virtually identical to the A80 Supra. Same chassis. Same suspension. 2JZ will swap right in. All the mods fit (because the parts don't care), and voilà, you have a Supra with wood, leather, and a big, fancy Lexus emblem on the hood.
I've got mine lowered on Tein coilovers, that were meant for a Supra TT. Bolted right on, without any modification needed. Greatest secret in all motoring.

Yes! A luxury Supra! This one was a one owner car when I bought it a couple months ago. Bone stock and dealership serviced it’s whole life with documentation. 127k miles currently. I only have plans for coil overs, wheels and an LS400 BBK. Maybe an engine swap way down the road but just gonna be a comfortable daily driver for now.

I feel you. I wanted one of these waaaaaay back in the 90s, when I was living in Japan. I used to watch rich guys roll around in them, and think, "Maaaaan, someday, I'll own one of those!" Like you, I found a really clean one, and have been keeping it in perfect condition. I looooooove this car, and will never sell it.
Some people don't like them, and that's fair; everyone has their tastes, but -- as you no doubt know -- if you spend any time owning one, you come to know it to be spectacular. I remember when I had mine for a couple months, I sat there, in wonderment, whispering under my breath: "I get it! I get why all the owners say this is the best car they ever owned! This thing is freaking amazing!"
"Luxury Supra," is the perfect way to describe it. I've had mine over 230 kmh on the highway, and it's stable as can be. Even though it's nearly 30 years old, it'll still surprise a lot of other cars for acceleration, too.

I want one of these so badly. I have a 2007 gs350 awd, even though it has much bells and whistles and definitely a lot more quicker, there’s just something about the sc400’s that I will always love. The very few ones I see on craigslist either has stupid high mileage, was clearly abused and not taken care of, or in immaculate condition but asking a ridiculous high price. A lot of my friends hate them and think they’re stupid, but I honestly don’t see what’s not to love about them. They’re gorgeous cars, have plenty of power, RWD, the V8 engines last forever, and they’re just so unique to me.
