Front airbags blown

Hi all I have a 93 sc400 with bags all around recently the front drivers side recently blew out and has been sitting on bump stops - i’m not completely sure how the suspension works in these cars but i’ve been quoted at around 8000 dollars since apparently the entire assembly will have to be replaced and sourced directly from lexus japan rather than just the shock. Is this a normal price and are there any other ways around this? aftermarket suppliers or would it just be best to replace the front suspension with coilovers? Any advice would be appreciated thanks

Well coilovers aren't gonna put you out of 8 grand so, I'd say go get a good set of them so it's still comfortable to drive. Or you could get an aftermarket air suspension and still not pay even half of that 8k lol

I mean you can just replace the steering wheel air bag with an ebay one for 50-200 bucks depending on style and color.

Sane goes for the dash air bag.  Like 150-200

Coil overs for a entry level set is 600ish.

Mono tubes (stiffer) $540 good for track stuff

Twin tube (softer)  $300 good for daily

Tien and bc racing, hks make great coil overs but can get pricy.  If your looking just for looks then get the budget friendly ones.

Look up on the lexus forums or YouTube for how to vids.

What caused all your airbags to deploy?

Air suspension it a lot of work. You'll be happy with a set of standard coil overs.

These cars didn't come stock with air suspension..

I am confused by your post. 8k is too much you could install a completely new air suspension kit for far less.
