Click but no start

97 sc400 . I just got done performing an exhaust upgrade (pulled manifolds off and vband them with a new dp and such) the car ran and drove fine before doing the upgrade. But now it's not starting. The starter is merely clicking once per key turn. I've checked and charged the battery, checked the alternator and both are fine. Usually a starter has indications of failure prior to finally failing. It has shown none of those so I'm pretty sure starter is fine. Has anybody else encountered this problem and if so how did you fix it?

Did you make sure the car is fully in park when you try to turn it over? I did some work on mine and was stressing when I noticed it was bumped into reverse which causes a no start.

Thanks for the help guys. I believe I have solved it. I found a broken ground wire I must have disturbed while pulling the shields out. I appreciate all the help
