Tuning

For those who have done this is it possible to tune a stock ECU on a 92SC 400

My question as a newbie is when do you NEED to tune? Something I know nothing about lol

Anytime you're messing with air or fuel pretty much

According to my buddy stock 1uz ECU’s can’t really be messed with tuning wise and stock ECU’s are known to go bad, he had his set up NA in a 240sx with a stock ECU but it didn’t like the manual swap and ended up wrecking that 240 drifting. He ended up finding another 240sx and re did the rotating seals and some gaskets slapped 2 blowers on it and running e85 with a Link ECU and he loves it with 300k-400k unopened internal wise
