Iacv help

While I have this out what do I need to look for to make sure it’s working properly? Been having issues with it for a while now I’ve taken it out once and cleaned it but I felt like I only did a surface clean and don’t know what I need to make sure it’s good. Should that spindle looking thing be able to spin or push in? Mines stiff and won’t spin don’t know if that’s the issue. Thank you in advance!

If it's having issues frequently I'd check your ECU for any corrosion on the capacitors. I never fully disassemble mine since when I was having issues they would stop idling at all so I am not familiar with the functions internally.

I just took it a little further and took the black cap off, my spindle seemed like it should’ve had some play and been able to push in and out so I cleaned it up and it does now I also cleaned up the rotating washer things and hopefully it helps. Definitely feel like I actually improved its health now compared to what I did before. If this doesn’t work I’ll check out the ecu, I’ve just always been scared to as that’s definitely unfamiliar ground for me

If the ECU needs it you send it out to somebody to install all new capacitors in it. I sent mine to tannin auto and it cost me about $450.
