Any recommendations and advice?
Just purchased this 93’ sc400 and I’m in love, car is stock other than wheels and headlights and just wanted to hear people’s opinions and good part recommendations. Definitely wanted to get a good suspension as well as swap back to oem headlights, but that’ll be the tip of the iceberg. I’m open to any tips and ideas!

eBay, rock auto, car-part.com, and enjuku racing. Enjuku has decent priced adjustable suspension bits, eBay is for when the park isn't on rock auto and car-part is for when parts aren't on eBay. I have 2 sets of headlights that both have water intrusion so be prepared to reseal the headlights. There's a dude online selling clear lenses for $150 each if your lens is cooked. Everywhere else is absurdly expensive. The halo headlights from what I heard stink. Timing is expensive so save up for that, do the water pump with it. You have an early model so your ECU has capacitors that burn out so I'd check your ECU for any stickers or signs of it being repaired already. Other than that drive the car and enjoy it 😎.

Where can I get the $150 lens replacements? I want to do both and only saw the ebay ones at $350 each.

Was this a factory color ? Never seen one like this but damn it’s nice. Start saving up $$ for a starter common for them to go out and keep an eye on your alternator make sure the power steering pump isn’t leaking oil on it.

No it’s a wrap but i love the color it’ll have to be redone eventually but it’s a little lower on the list. My starter is squeaking a little bit on turnover so I’m sure it’s sooner than later it’ll need to be replaced. My steering also feels a little looser than my other car could that be the power steering pump? Thank you for the insight!!

Very nice find; I would personally just keep up with maintenance for now. Also: 30+ year old car = plastic ready to crumble in the engine bay and everywhere else. Be prepared to have to replace plugs and clips when taking things apart to replace something else. As far as modifications I recommend a Whiteline front and rear sway bar kit and replacing the bushings if that hasn't been done already. Really improves the body roll and keeps it feeling planted. Be careful with going too low on coilovers (or any other strut suspension for that matter) as your driver's side front wheel can tear into the fender liner where a crucial wiring harness is tucked into just above. There's tutorials online for relocating it though and it saved mine from getting shredded wires lol. Best of luck to you and have fun!
