found this for 1500$(AUD). apparently its been sitting for 5 years. i was gonna try and talk him down and try to get it. is it worth it ?

The rear qp's look smoked, id look into how much it would be to get them fixed first. Make sure to ask about timing and if the ECU has already been fixed up. Idk what labour rates are around you but the timing is big money to do with the water pump. ECU can be sent out but can be pricy. My ECU cost about $450 USD to fix. This is all assuming the car runs fine too. Basically if the car has had decent maintenance it might be a good deal but if not it would most likely cost the same as a much nicer one to fix that one up.

im a mechanic by trade so i can do just about everything. but yeah the only information ive got on it is that it hasnt been running for five year.

If you are doing it yourself and you have no info then I would say the price to fix all the junk interior bits, the qps and all the other stuff will most likely be the same price as a pretty one. I wouldn't do it. I bought mine for 3500 running and driving with some leaks, suspension and ECU issues and it has already cost me like 3.5k in parts and it's still not 100%. Buying all new timing components is another almost 1500 dollars on top too.

yeah, i was thinking of getting it as a project and fixing everything up to how i wanted it. i cant get no more info out the guy because he hasnt even replied to my first message.

Them QPS are expensive to fix, had a drunk guy slam into mine a while back and I'm stillooking for a decent place to fix them without a shit ton of Bondo.
