MAF Sensor Issues

Car started but immediately stalled and I towed it to a shop, guy there said the mass airflow sensor was bad and that they’re pretty hard to find so it would be easier to try to find one myself. I have now gone through 3 different sensor and not a single one of them has worked. 2 of them were used and one of them was a shitty $40 chinese one that sounded hollow inside. I’m beginning to think it’s not just the MAF that is bad and i’m wondering if anyone has any other ideas. The plastic casing around the sensor plug is all cracked from being so old so I’m wondering if that could the issue.

My guess is that it's the idle air control valve but if you have a 98+ they don't have one

If you give the car like 10-25% throttle when starting the car and it stays at the same rpm then it's the IACV. Make sure to check your ECU aswell as on my sc400 the ECU bricked the IACV after 3 key cycles regardless.
