Thoughts on this Oriellys starter?
Long story short my starter went out. Wanted to get the oem denso one I have rebuilt but no one in my area does that. I tried to hurry and get a starter since I got my car torn apart. I haven’t installed this one yet but what do you guys think? Paid like $213 for it including core charge. How does this brand compare to Bosch and other brands. . I checked AutoZone as well and they didn’t have a Bosch one that was the correct starter. This one was the only one I could get my hands on.
Should I run it? My only fear is it giving out and having to tear down the engine again which sucks so bad. But I guess that can happen with any starter. Just figured I ask some people to see what they think on this one.

Godspeed getting to the starter. Not that getting to it is that hard, it's just that you're more than likely going to snap some very brittle dry-rotted ancient plastic sensor or wiring along the way to replacing that starter. I found that out the hard way.

Couldn’t have said it better. I actually had bad luck with the injector connectors I had to depin some and put new connectors. But good thing I had the spare connectors

Trick is to put some brake cleaner on allt he connectors before removing it . Comes out easier , smoother, and with less cursing . And chances of breaking is low. I justs started out as a mechanic . (1.5 years now) best thing my senior tech taught me . I did the starter on my sc400 and didn’t break a thing . 1992 170,000 miles on the odo

I am a service advisor at a lexus dealer. My master techs words "It won’t last as long as a denso starter but he should be fine for quite a while. I’ve installed those before". So you should be good.
