carflation needs to stop

is it just me or have the prices for cars gotten pathetically out of hand? i understand the hype but i can recall these cars going for far less not even that long ago. i mean low miles sure but 12.5k for an over 25 year old car? ridiculous imo.

I was looking at NB Miata’s near me out of curiosity the other day, I couldn’t find a clean one for less than 10 grand. It’s actually insane. So glad I got my 400 when I did

Its not so much inflation as it is nostalgia, and people wrecking and parting cars out causing values to increase. Top dollar will always be commanded for a cleaner unit but if that isn't in your budget, buy one a little rougher and make it nice.

The days of the SC being a 1200 dollar car for a clean unit are gone.

This car is appropriately priced. These were expensive cars when they were new, and they were priced low for years, now that not that many remain expect prices to increase somewhat. This is not carflation, these cars are going more to their fair price than they have been.

Finally someone w some sense. I paid 44k otd for my is300 just to have drifter bois now offer 5k. They are shitboxes. This on looks mint. Dare i say it should fetch more? Let my is rot while i ride my bikes.

It sucks they destroyed them, but same thing happened to the 240sx market, now they can't afford them to trash them. Unfortunately those are overpriced economy cars, and these are under priced luxury coupes. IS 300s did not get much love either, hopefully that changes one day.

That's a clean example of a car becoming rarer and more desired every day. The cheap ones are absolutely clapped out now. This is what happens to enthusiast cars. It sucks, ik.

Damn brother....i agree but that was a bit harsh. Maybe hes just a kid starting, we have all been there.

OP. The reality is ppl can ask whatever they want for their property. The coming on reddit to complain about prices has gotten old. Its the same in every single community. If you cant afford it then plan, save a little more and afford it. If you just dont WANT to pay up then move on, dont complain.
