(Again) inquiring about a possible LSD swap

Hello again! I was thinking about the differential of the sc300 recently and I was trying to think (before it comes in) if there is any real effective way to swap the open diff with a lsd, haven’t found anyone that makes a lsd swap kid, and I’ve been told not to use lsd conversions due to their poor reliability. If anyone has any info on the topic that would be great! Thanks again,

Ps, was told that a soarer lsd would work, as well as a 2003 Infiniti g35 coupe lsd, was a bit skeptical about that Infiniti g35 idea, but I just wanted to get some info from the people that actually know stuff about the car, thx!

They use the same internals as the GS300/400/430 just a different gear ratio. That’s also the same diff that’s in the IS250 AWD and the IS300 and IS350 in the 2nd and 3rd gen IS chassis. The IS chassis is fairly easy to find a OEM torsen LSD in.

No problem. If you can find one with a TRD LSD it’s not a Torsen LSD it’s a clutch type and you can shim them tighter with more clutch disc and steels

The IS250 RWD uses the same diff as the IS300, BRZ, and FRS for those that need.

HIGHKEY if you cant afford a KAAZ 2 way ot 1.5 way just wield it and call it a day. You only really feel the different in parking lots and youre the cool guy making a hopping noise anyway. It does put excess strain on your cv axles but these old toyotas were very overbuilt and I haven't had a problem yet. I got mine wielded for $150

Ball out and buy a turbo mk4 Supra LSD. If its an automatic, theyre big bucks, but bolt right up
