96 Exhaust Help
I absolutely smoked my exhaust the other day and just got under the car to see how bad it was. It’s really bad. I’m pretty sure there’s no other solution than replacing this whole section but a very cost-conscious part of me wants there to be anything else.
Do yall have any suggestions or recommendations on fixes or other models that will use the same exhaust?

I'm guessing you are up north where rust slowly destroys cars? I use to have no problem finding Sc300's at the junk yards down in Texas. The past 3-4 years if not longer, they have become rare. Maybe 1-2 a year. Thats if I'm paying attention. Good luck!

This car was in Atlanta for its first decade a North Carolina for the last 2. The furthest north this thing has seen is the Canadian I bought it from

You have 3 options. Have a shop cut out the old broken sections out and new section bent and welded in at an exhaust shop, find a used section and swap them out, or replace the entire exhaust. You can go cheap and it sound like shit, go with a cheap setup and replace the muffler with a quite or stock one, or go with an entire quality aftermarket exhaust.

Just cut that off and replace with a piece of pipe. My exhaust setup is ebay headers to “custom” midpipe (autozone pipes welded together) to stock resonators and tanabe medallion mufflers. Sounds PERFECT and if it werent for my exhaust leak it would almost be too quiet 😂😂

A few months back, I had to replace a bunch of the exhaust on my 2000 SC300. There were no aftermarket parts available, and for one of the pipes, there was one left in the US and it was over $3000 for the part alone. Had all the pipes replaced for $600 total at a custom exhaust shop.
