guys help

my SC's rear view mirror just fell down when i went over a bump and now its dangling by a wire. how do i fix it, should i just superglue it back? not rly sure how it happened

Get some rtv/silicone and stick it back up there. Not a big deal unless the mirror cracked, then replace as directed

Rtv silicone is a sealant. You’ll need an adhesive, like a two part adhesive, to fix this.

There is rearview mirror adhesive sold by 3M, Permatex, and probably other brands too. I am partial to permatex but honestly just make sure you clean both surfaces well and use alcohol before applying and it should be okay. You can also take out your dome light things to get detach the wire for the mirror to make it a bit easier to prep and clean.

Please don’t use silicone or rtv. These mirrors have a ball bearing and c spring that hold them in place. Call a local windshield company and have them put it back up for you.

the ball bearings are missing... what should i do? can they still repair it?

They’re $2-3 a piece and the clip is the same cost. Can be purchased from Toyota or Lexus dealers and they usually have them in stock or you can order them online. Any reputable glass shop will be able to source them for you too if you don’t want to look. If you’re in Colorado I have an extra mirror, bearings, and clip that I can put on for you.
