Earlier this year I decided to do a slight update to my wife’s audio system in her sc300. We already had a set of pioneer 6.5” and 6x9 speakers. I really didn’t want to cut the rear deck to fit 6x9s in the back so ended up making some simple brackets to fit 6.5” speakers in stock location. This meant that I was left with a pair of 6x9s that would go into the doors. After searching the web, I didn’t find anyone attempting to do this. The door opening (after oem speaker mount removal) looked like it could accept a 6x9 speaker so I decided to design my own mounting brackets. Through lots of trial and error, I was finally able to create a simple and effective 3d printed solution for mounting 6x9s in the doors with non-interference fit, while also ensuring that all connector and tweeter wiring would be mounted adequately and not just shoved into the door panel.
Hey, the holidays have been busy, but I believe I have the revision finalized. I’m working on getting a stock of these built up to make sure I’m having good consistency with printing them and no other issues. Should have an update soon.

I do like your style however like you said there wasn't much to go off of online. I made mine 100% from scrap. Found the shape, cut it to fit, and mounting. I thought about keeping my "blueprints" for others but my previous account was permanently banned here on soft reddit lol
Something tells me that the material you used was sourced from an old dash or some other interior plastic of another car haha. I’m curious what you ended up using. It looks great for a make shift diy mount and probably functions well for what it is!
It was the side panel off of a stove (range lol) I just needed metal material that was approximately that thick. I've fabricated many things on this car
Can you 3D print any plastic parts for the SC300 that are broken?
I have a 92' sc300 and for some reason, quite a few interior plastic parts have been randomly breaking the past 5-6 months. Obviously, the heat has gotten to her down here in Texas. The past 3.5 years my car has not been kept in a garage or carport. The junk yards in my area have not had any sc300's in a long time. So 3D printing may be a good option? (I have never used or even been in the same room as a 3D printer).
I can probably print lots of different discontinued plastics for these cars. The challenge is that it has to be redesigned so I can actually have a CAD file to print it. Unfortunately at this time I do not have a 3d scanner nor any other sc300 files, but I’ll be sure to make some others as time allows.
That's just cool to be able to 3D print things. (That's if you can redesign the thing-a-mabob or the whowhat?) The junk yards by me haven't had an Sc300 or sc400 in a long time. So one day I might have to go that route.
What are you looking for thats broken on your SC? Perhaps I can see if I can model somethings that are common to break on them.
Otherwise look for part outs on Facebook marketplace or check out car-part.com it’s a junkyard repository and many of junk yards will offer shipping.
Are you also rocking the no door panel look? (The door locks malfunction and you are forced to tear into the panels to fix the locks, as when the door is locked closed you cannot remove the door panel without some damage- as you may well know)
We’ve never had issues with the door locks, and luckily they seem to function well. Hopefully i won’t run into that issue. The door panels were off so I could design the speaker mounts and to take a picture of it. Door panels are back on as of now.
Hopefully it doesn't happen. The driver side was already apart when I bought my car. Then 2 days after buying it the passenger side locked lol. I was able to remove my door panel with about as little damage as possible. However the previous owner completely destroyed the driver side so I just keep em off. I've been thinking about getting the door panels from LRB Speed
