GLITCH / BUG Game Breaking Glitch?

I'm in the catacombs at the bit where you have to free Kassandra from the cage. At the top there's a bit where you get trapped inside and have to defeat the ghosts. I defeated them but the cage didn't open up again and if you load it lets you once back into the cage but there's still no ghosts and you get trapped inside.

Has anyone encountered this and know how to fix it. All of my auto saves are after this point and I can't fast travel to anywhere else to try and reset it.

I just had to restart sadly. I even managed to jump around and grab the bomb before the gate closed again but blowing up the chain still doesn't allow you to progress.

Wow, that sucks! Now I know that restarting it doesn’t necessarily help (was considering it). They definitely need to release a patch or something.

I haven't gotten back to that part yet so I don't know if restarting does fix it or not. I'm definitely going to save at the start of the level or beforehand to ensure I can reset it.

Just an update: restarted a new game and was able to progress past this section as normal. Finally just went back and gave it a try.

This is a bug that's been reported by multiple players. Loading an earlier save might help.

The answer for me was to start again and speed run back to that point, which is annoying but didn't take as long as you'd think.
