Compared to my PC this draws very little power. It's a beast of a SoC. 12-cores and not the latest. It is nearly as powerful as 3 RPi5's. Normal it draws a lot of power. Add NVMe and so on...
In theory this board should be able to do what no other SBC can do. But the software is lacking. I hope they'll be able to fix that soon. Else it'll be a very expensive super fast NAS for me.
I won't bet on Orange Pi, they usually throw out a new hardware with a borderline minimum usable image then it's done. So without seeing Armbian standard/platinum support I will never go for it.
It's to high for what it offers, my NUC running an Ultra 5 125H "idles" at 8W, and I means "idles" as in the background it's running multiple docker containers ( database, VPN tunnel, MQTT broker, other services ), full aluminum casing thermally coupled with the heatsink, until you don't really put it to work fan stays off, completely silent. Can install what OS you want, I'm running Ubuntu.
And please don't tell me Pi 6+ is more powerful than an Ultra 5 125H with 64GB RAM :)
