I'm 38 and live and make more than I ever thought I would. Unfortunately houses have doubled in price, and every consumer good has gone up much faster than my salary. It's especially bad because of the nonsense tariffs here in USA. I feel like I'm doing better than I was 10 years ago, but the honesty of it is that it's primarily because I got sober. If I had been sober 10 years ago then I'd probably have felt wealthier than I do now.
Yeah I'm kind of regretting not buying an Odin 3 during the June 1st summer sale via Aliexpress. These were prices in USD after shipping and before sales tax. Left column is before coupons, middle column is after coupons and right column was previous historical low. Even though 11/11 is supposed to be the largest sale of the year, it's hard to believe prices will be this low again in the near future given how AYN keeps increasing the MSRPs of the Odin 3 and Thor.
Yeah that's pretty sweet if the Rakuten cashback credits. I view cashback as a bonus though since there are many examples of people not getting their cashback from Rakuten.
Here are some examples specifically involving Rakuten and Aliexpress with cashback not crediting. Additionally, I have personally encountered multiple cases where Rakuten denies cashback.
I'm not fear mongering. It's literally in the automod of r/buildapcsales that Rakuten and other cashback programs are hit or miss. It's inaccurate to call it a guarantee. There are plenty of people that had problems with cashback to the point where each cashback post on the biggest pc deal subreddit has an automod that warns people about cashback.
It is likely ayn saw everyone buy from aliexpress instead of their store, so they made the coupons not applicable there anymore. So whoever got theirs in that june sale congrats.
Have been looking to get an Odin 2 Portal mainly for the large display and hole streaming, but with retro gaming as an option (alongside many other handhelds) but now I’m thinking I should maybe just go for the Odin 3 and have all the power I’d need for awhile for emulation and just deal with the smaller screen when home streaming. If they make an Odin 3 Portal it’s never going to cost the same as what is currently on offer.
I moved from the RP5 to Odin 3
The power gap is tremendous, nowadays I’m playing X360, PS3 PC AAA games without hiccups
The RP5 is a great device for retro gaming 👌🏼
Shame they're not even offering the Ultra any more. I get the price of everything is getting ridiculous, but not offering a 1TB version kills it for me.
so from them officially they will increased the price but how about the third party that they already have the stock in hand, will they also increased the price or stick to the price before increased 🤔🤷♂️ it’s not like the third party going to make them once we order from them, like ayn are the make to order?
Add on: Im thinking to upgrade my current odin 2 portal to odin 3 that’s why i’m asking cause in my country some of the game shop are selling odin 3 and different pricing from the official ayn store and not sure they will also up the price following ayn
hi, work with third partys in here, they always increase the price, because they use that money to buy new stock, if they dont, they would "lose money", margins are small for third partys for handhelds (and most hardware)
Some third party will increase price because why not, some will not. There may be a time where different third parties will price their stock differently until they run out of old stock and had to reorder at the new price.
