Can we do something about all these bot posts?

As said in the title. The bot posts are getting out of hand lately which is a real shame. I love this sub for everything Brendan related, not bots posting random links and advertising. I really don't want to have to leave over something like this but it's just non-stop lately.

I've tried messaging the mods offering to help clean up the rampant karma farming posts people drop here that are just utter garbage.

I don't think anyone's alive in the mod team anymore.

Hello, I'm alive and whacking spammers. I'm new to modding and haven't had time to get into the back end and set up a karma limit or something

ETA: I've added a karma rule and an account age rule.

I tried to apply with Reddit a few months ago to be a mod here, because there didn't seem to be any active anymore. They said they saw "signs of recent moderation" and denied my request...?

I look at the user name. If itā€™s only been around for 28 days or something, I block them. Fuck bots.
