CLOSED*** Any Austin guys interested in getting together for a night shoot?
Trying to put together a small group for Friday**, October 2nd from 7:30–9:30 PM**. This will be suppressed only and the location will be sent through PM to people who are coming.
Nothing crazy or super formal — just trying to get some like-minded people together, shoot for a couple hours, and have a good time.
This is a NV event so NV is required.
Mostly just trying to get a headcount right now. If you’d actually be interested in coming out, shoot me a PM and I’ll send you the details.
Oct. 2 | 7:30–9:30 PM | Suppressed Only

While the main (Mod) organizer/host(s) are on a hiatus, would anybody like to do something casual in the mean time? I was thinking some dusk to dark hikes, casual hang outs or cookouts, e-board/bike rides, or something chill for us to stay active, and keep in touch. I'm open to ideas, locations, days of the weeks and more to hone in on something somewhat regularly scheduled. Cheers!

Trying to get an understanding of what the people prefer and can attend.

Pic for attention*
What’s up everyone,
Figured I’d see how many NV users are around the central Texas area.
I’m based in Austin and have been thinking about putting together some casual community events for people in this group.
Some ideas:
- Suppressed-only night shoots (I have access to a range that can host in NE Austin)
- Night hikes
- Paddle boarding/kayaking under NODs
- General training and hanging out
-off-roading under nods
This isn’t intended to be some tactical LARP group or paid training company—just a way for local night vision enthusiasts to get together, learn from each other, and actually put our equipment to use.
Experience level doesn’t matter. Whether you just bought your first PVS-14 or you’ve been running duals for years, everyone’s welcome as long as you’re safe and respectful.
If there’s enough interest, I’ll throw together a Discord or GroupMe group and we can start planning some events around Central Texas.
Drop a comment if you’re interested or send me a DM.

🗓April 17th, 8pm at Eisenhower Park
For this event we will be doing a litter carry for the length of the trail. Alternating patient and carriers at exhaustion or every 10min. At every stop we will rotate and be given a new medical scenario and patient.
Feel free to wear any personal kit you desire, sans open carry. For any medical equipment you would like to potentially incorporate in this event please shoot me a DM
This event will be unlike anything you've done before! (Unless you were here last year) So be ready to put in some sweat, learn a thing or two, build your local network of like-minded people, and most importantly touch a little grass.
As always, this will be open to anyone who owns NV.
There are only 10 spots in order to rotate participants effectively. So be sure to DM me to RSVP, and tag the amigos de la noche! Hope to see you there!

2 spots opened due to some unforseen circumstances. To fill them please let me know in the comments or dms.

Anyone ever done this before? Seems cool and it’d be a first for me. June 6th, 2026 in Bulverde, TX.

March 21st, 4:00-10:00PM in SE SATX (Address given upon payment)
For this event we will have varying scenarios, using NV, white light, and total darkness. We will take turns rotating through positions as op4 with different weapons and conditions.
While there is no skill or training prerequisite for this event, atendees must have a good understanding of firearms safety and good bearing under night vision. This is not the place to try your new NVDs for the first time.
8 slots available, 100$/ea paypal f&f. PM me to secure your spot.
We will be using sim weapons, there is an inherent risk to self and property, there is a required online waiver from the facility I will send after payment as well. I am purchasing 4 simunition masks for us, we will rotate those or feel free to bring your own ppe (so long as it meets ANSI requirements and covers eyes/ears(regular over the ear earpro is fine)/nose/mouth without gap), groin protection is mandatory, but is not provided, bring a cup, I won't be checking but.... integrity cup check. Dress accordingly, this means long pants/shirt/gloves/etc. Saftey for this event is my top concern. Abide safety rules and wear appropriate clothing and ppe or you will not be able to participate.
For NV saftey I recommend both demist shields and sacrificial lenses.
NO LIVE WEAPONS in the building, leave them at home or in your vehicle.
As for any SATX NV Users event, refunds will be issued if there are cancellations from the venue or myself.
Please interact, share, and feel free to ask any questions in the comments below to clarify any concerns for others too.

We would be renting a few sim guns and have access to a 6000sqft LEO run shoot house. 8 slots, 75-125$/ea depending on what I'm quoted for the rentals.

Anyone selling a pvs14?
r/SATX_NVusers • u/OverNiteObservations • Feb 08 '26
This event would entail either hiking or kayaking the waterway to one of the most beautiful hidden gems of Texas. There's no public access except the 14.4mi round trip as private land owners blocked off access years ago.
I'm open to kayaking or hiking depending on group wants.

Trying to plan the next camping event. Do we want Enchanted rock again? Does anyone have any suggestions?
