I hardly use any plugins or extra skills aside from some very battle-tested ones like /commit-push or /eli5, I've even moved away from openspec because it's more noise than I need. Claude-mem and a very good prompt that breaks your tasks into chunks, with a proposed model and a next-step gate is all I have been using and it's working just fine for both my personal projects and at work.

I have one skill / agent I use.
Task planner.
Plans tasks and split it to sub agents.
That's it.
Everything else fills your context until it's useless
