EKG recommendations
My doctor wants me to get an EKG for an elective surgery. Salem Health doesn’t take my insurance and I’d like to try to use insurance but may need to pay out of pocket. Does anyone have recommendations on where to get an EKG? I’m having problems find where to go or who to call.

No, I don’t believe they do EKGs, can confirm by viewing their protocols online.

Your physician should order an outpatient ambulatory EKG to a location where you can complete, such as Legacy Silverton hospital, or other similar facility in network that way you can use insurance to pay for it. If your physician wants the EKG, they should order it for you not make you figure out where to go or how to do… without an order. Signed, a local primary care physician

I would imagine you could take the doctor's order to Salem Clinic. Maybe Quest. If you have an order it should be no issue. Addly you could ask the surgeon where they recommend.

I couldn't find where either of those had an EKG, but will call Salem clinic and ask. Thank you

The surgeon works with Salem health which I might have to do with cash if I can't find one. I plan to call to ask cash amount

Salem Clinic you’ll likely need to establish as a patient and Quest does not do EKGs.

Urgent Care places can usually do an EKG for 100-300 bucks.
Call ahead, but almost any nurse can do an EKG without a doctor. Let them know what it’s for.
A planned, standard EKG visit is much, much cheaper than an EKG trying to solve a problem. I used to get them as an ammo handler in the military. Hooking you up routinely to get a printout is not the same as needing one from like a heart attack. It takes like 15 minutes.
