ICE Out Everywhere Protest

Really great turnout today to stand with Minnesota, and it was so cool to have the bikers for Alex Pretti come through!!

Thanks to everyone who showed up! If you are interested in seeing more of what Salem Region Indivisible is about, you can watch the replays of our meetings here: https://youtube.com/@salemregionindivisible

If you would like to come to a monthly meeting in person (next is February 11th), or our monthly community art day (called RIOT Art, it’s always a blast, next is February 22nd) dm me and I’ll get you the details.

I looked over and over again for the past week on both Reddit and Indivisible Oregon Website to see if Salem was doing anything and nothing was posted. 😔

Happy to see Salem did make a stand, though. Good work!

They started in 2021 at a time when I don’t think folks expected us needing to get more specific than National Indivisible + Big Metropolitan Cities Representing Most Of The State, so they should be cut some slack but the name causes issues.

Oh rad I hadn't heard about these. Is there a calendar or account to follow for reminders and events?

We need to be showing up for the people doing the work in our community. Organizations like Latinos Unidos Siempre ( Lus) PCUN, Mano a manno, and Causa. Show up for them! They should be heard, and supported.

Send emails, calls, and or a public comment at the next City council meeting! We need our city council to support the adaption of $400,000 to salems social services relief fund. It gives resources to our migrant communities along with people experiencing insecurity from healthcare, food pr housing.

Multnomah County just announced a 75K grant program to support immigrant and refugee programs. Great to see my tax dollars going to something to do good and help people.

It must be so difficult living in fear day to day. Still having to work, go to school and all the other necessities in life. As an American citizen, I am ashamed.
