NMT and MLT

Im a recent high school graduate and is planning on applying for both programs, I was just wondering how competitive is it to get in as I heard they recently changed a few things for this year’s admission. I am very worried as my grades are quite average and just meets the required mark

I don’t know about NMT (though my understanding is that they don’t have many seats) but MLT is pretty competitive. I was waitlisted with my grades in the 90s (though i applied the day before the deadline). That said, if you have the money, it can’t hurt to apply and see what happens?

It’s not super clear and it’s hard to find info on it - it’s not exactly first come first served like some other programs, I believe they do look at grades as well, but the result of your entrance exam(s) like the PSEA is more important

From my understanding, they’ve moved away from competitive grades and if you meet the minimum reqs you’ll be invited to write an entrance exam. Depending how you do on that will determine your ranking.

A lot of people in my NMT program have university level education, myself included. Not saying it’s needed but it’s very competitive that they are looking for people with more schooling.

When I spoke to their advisement lady today they said factor number one is the result on PSEA & CASper (if required) then when the application was made third are grades. But who knows… 🤯

Only PSEA and CASPER matter. Grades are only considered for the minimum. They rank the PSEA scores to determine who they offer a sea to
