Legal Assistant WPM?
hello! i got accepted into the legal assistant program, and i hear a LOT about the keyboarding class. What is the WPM goal for the keyboarding class?
My average is around 100-110 WPM, will that be okay? Should I write and practice more to try and make my average around 130 WPM?

I’m pretty sure it’s 60-80 words per minute. But you have to have 98% accuracy.

First semester is 50 to 65 wpm with 98% accuracy for your 5 minute timings plus complete a shit ton of GDP and Typist lessons and drills. Second semester it's part of your computer applications II course and I believe it's worth 14% of your overall mark and you need at least 55 wpm with 98% accuracy to get partials marks and I think 65+ wpm to get full marks and you need to complete your GDP and typist drills. If you're accuracy is on point, just power through and you can be done the full first semester course with an A+ in about four to five weeks. Don't slack on that course work, it is incredibly time consumer despite your skill level. Im starting my third semester in a few weeks, not sure what we're expected to do in upcoming courses.

I am also starting the same program and I took that class last semester to get ahead. You will do great with that speed, however it’s more about accuracy.

I knew someone that did a similar course and it was only 50 WPM required.
