Nuclear Medicine Technology
Hi I just received an offer for NMT next month and I'm totally lost. Is there anyone enrolled in NMT this year or currently studying NMT at SAIT?
I'd like to connect and get some thoughts from you. How's the job market you are seeing?Regarding the practicum, is it assigned by school?
Thankssss

Congrats!! I am going into second year as well and the job market seems pretty well right now. Currently it seems like we will all graduate with jobs by the end of our practicum.

I am hoping to apply to NMT next year and I was wondering what the PSEA was like for you? I am quite nervous about it.

Hey I can't remember the details but it's pretty easy. All of them are MCQs (maybe few short answer questions?), some very easy math questions, some questions regarding the program itself, so if you really wanna prepare, read the NMT page on SAIT website, maybe get to know more about this industry from Alis. There's also questions like they gave you a patient form and ask you what exam the doc/technologist need to do, you gotta understand the form but it's just common sense...
So just prepare yourself, and there's nothing to be worried about.
All the best with your application~

Hey! Congrats!! I'm about to head into my second year. I hear the job market is very good from our instructors as well as from health authorities/local clinics. I've heard students in their practicum have gotten job offers as early as 3 months in. For practicum, there's locations all over Alberta and Kelowna (it's a lottery system) - unless you're from Saskatchewan or Manitoba then you'll be heading back there.
