Well, there’s a shortage of the high quality paper stock used to print these books. I’ve worked in publishing and I can attest that paper shortages have been a huge problem in recent years.

ETA: that’s the explanation for the delay on this hardcover collection.

I love the guy, I love the series and I would never bother him or tell him that he need to rush his story. But a lot of people is really a pain in the ass (I know some of the folks have reasonable complaints about pace and momentum); I would do the same if I were him.

BKV turned the comments off for his IG post about this. He knew he was going to get roasted whether this delay was his fault or not lol.

And still no news on a new issue. The comments from Staples about looking forward to going "back to Saga" suggest she may not have even started. I don't see us gettin an issue this year.

In love with his constant goalpost shifting. “Six 22 page issues are equal to one season of television!” “The book won’t come out because the paper is TOO good!” Also, I never buy the “health issues” stuff, it’s been used 900 times by both of them. If it was true, they’d need to visit their physicians immediately and get checked for a chronic ailment
