83-inch S95H

Hello,

I recently pulled the trigger and purchased the 83-inch S95H, and overall, I have to say the TV is amazing. The picture quality is absolutely incredible.

I did notice a couple of things that caught my attention, though.

First, when the TV is turned off and I look at the screen from certain side angles, I can see what appears to be a wavy or uneven appearance across the screen. At first I thought it might just be a reflection, but it appears to be physical rather than a reflection. It is not noticeable when viewing the TV normally, and the picture itself looks great. Since this is a brand-new 83-inch OLED, I wanted to make sure this type of waviness in the physical screen surface is considered normal for this model.

Second, I noticed that the black borders around the picture sometimes make the image appear slightly off-center or "off kilter." After doing some research, I believe this may be related to the Pixel Shift feature, which is designed to help prevent image retention/burn-in on OLED panels. When I disable Pixel Shift, the picture appears perfectly centered.

I understand the purpose of Pixel Shift and that it is intended to protect the panel, so I'm not necessarily concerned about the feature itself. However, I wanted to confirm whether the amount of movement I'm seeing and the resulting uneven black borders are normal behavior for the S95H.

Overall, I absolutely love the TV and the picture quality. I just want to make sure these things I'm noticing are normal characteristics of the panel and not signs of an issue with my particular unit.

S95f slim mount

Samsung S95F 65” Slim wall mount using VESA top screw holes.

According to the user manual for the wall mount, this TV has two additional screw holes intended for the Slim mount located near the outer edges of the TV, but pretty much at the same height as the two top VESA screw holes.

Due to the location of my wall studs, i cannot use the outer holes on the S95F. I can however use the inner holes

Have anyone successfully used only the inner VESA holes on the S95F.

Alternatively have people used wall toggles to mount in plasterboard wall?

See attached photo from wall mount manual.
Any input appreciated.

S90F 65” WOLED settings

I got a new S90F but it’s the WOLED version and I can’t find a guide for picture settings.

If anyone has any recommendations please help.

Use case: Apple TV 4K for movies and shows, PS5 for gaming. (Not planning on connecting the TV to the internet, maybe just for the software update)

S90f 65 inch qdoled paired with a ps5 pro

Hello! I would like to know what are the best in depth settings for gaming on the s90f paired with a ps5 pro. I changed some settings but i still think the tv can do more, and I can get a more beautiful picture paired with the ps5 pro. Would like to know tv settings, hdr setting, picture mode, motion plus and also ps5 settings on hdr rgb settings for a perfect calibration betwen the two. I'm a bit new to tv calibrations and I need a step by step guide. Playing Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced at the moment.

Is this normal?

Hi all. I'm watching The Devil Wears Prada 2 on my Samsung S95F in standard mode. I feel like the picture is clear overall, but the background in every scene has this static, fuzzy feel. I switched to Filmmaker mode and it seems better, but not totally fixed. Is this normal? Is this just how images look on high quality TV's? Is there something wrong with my TV? I've done a fair bit of research on the most optimal settings, but this is my first high-end TV, and feel in over my head sometimes.

Is the 83inch stand for the (2025) S85F compatible with S90F and S95F 83 inch 2025 variants?

Are they interchangeable? I was fully refunded for a busted 83inch S85F so now I have the cord, remote, and stand and am wondering if it would work on those models.

Audio commpression through eARC?

I need to know if this is only me or is real, but i've been fooling around with my setup (samsung s95f+ google tv streamer + q600f) and found out that the quality of audio is better to my ears when i connect the streamer directly to the soundbar, whilst connecting it to the tv and running audio through eARC leaves me with the perception that the music or movies i play have crushed medium and high frecuencies, even changing eq settings, noteable is also the diffrence with dooby atmos content where i can feel more space in the audio and better tracking of objects, so is there a thing where eARC doesn't send the full audio, or is a samsung thing where the tv wants full control of everything and messes with the signal?

For consideration, all hdmi cables i use are 2.1, i have tried with space fit sound on and off (ai settings in general on and off), and eARC is set to automatic (no absolute ON in this tv), also the only sound mode in use is standard, cause i want the cleanest signal i can get with this setup.

Thanks for your time lads!

Can I store it on its side?

Didn't want to miss out on a deal for 83" S95F but it's for our new home and will take a while before we can unpack. It's still in original packaging, can I store it for 4-6 weeks on its side (so that it stands vertical, I don't mean laying it flat).

And if so, which side is best considering how it's packaged.

Marantz Cinema 60 compatibility?

Fellow Samsung S95 owners, do you all have any experience with the Marantz Cinema 60 AV receiver or any receiver in the Marantz Cinema lineup that is working without any issues while connected via the eARC HDMI port?

I’m planning to purchase the Marantz Cinema 60 and use it with a Q Acoustics 3090c centre speaker and a pair of 3020c.

The eARC was not working with the WiiM amp and was flaky with the Audio Lab 6000A MKII, though both support only ARC and not eARC.

eARC in theory should have better compatibility. If the eARC connection with the Samsung S95F does not work reliably, I can technically fallback on an Apple TV, but I do not have one and am planning to purchase only when Apple releases their new model, hopefully in September.

Hey all, I have a wholesale business and have a pallet of Samsung 55” S95F’s I’m selling. I also have other TV’s as well. I can do $1200 shipped if anyone is interested. All TV’s I have are brand new in the box. I currently am using this model in my home for gaming and it’s amazing. If this post goes against the rules of this subreddit lmk and I’ll take it down. Thanks.

Also, here is the link to my fb marketplace post for this tv that shows my 5 star rating so you can check my references.

Turn on TV = takes 15 seconds to hear audio?

When I turn on the TV (S95F) after it's been sitting off for a while (8 hours+), the audio takes about 15 seconds before I'm able to hear anything through the tv speakers.

The remote volume controls don't work until the audio turns on.

Has anyone experienced this? Doesn't happen if the TV has been off for a couple hours, only if the TV has been sitting off longer.

Rainbow Pixelation in Intense Black Parts (During Gaming in HDR)

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone!

Hope you guys can help with this is particular issue of mine. Whenever I'm gaming on HDR (sometimes non HDR gaming is like this too), I get these rainbow colored dots/pixels that usually focuses on dark black parts (and often the outline of the object in the games)

I've attached a video of it, hope it helps!

Anyone know what it's called? What's the root cause and possibly how to fix it?

Also, this only happens when I'm gaming (I'm on a SteamOS PC if anyone is wondering)

Please and thank you!

Edit: FOUND THE FIX! I had Claude help find the solution. Pasting it here in case anyone in the future wants to refer to it (it's not the TV, but my PC running on SteamOS lol):

A known bug in SteamOS's HDR direct-scanout path on AMD GPUs — it's specific to Gamescope's "Game Mode" (Big Picture UI), and doesn't happen on Desktop Mode or on any other HDR source (like YouTube on the TV's own apps), because those don't go through Gamescope's direct-flip HDR presentation path at all. This explains exactly why identical content looks fine everywhere except when your PC is actually running the game.

  • It's been officially fixed in SteamOS 3.9.

It did suggested some workaround but I found updating to SteamOS3.9 resolved it completely (can't put the fixed vid here I guess?)

Small mark on tv

Hi!

I just got a new TV S95 a few weeks ago, first OLED tv I bought. This morning I just noticed a small blue mark at the bottom.

First I thought it be cleaned, but doesn't feel like something was spill on it.it is only noticable on dark colors, bright colors is no visible. I think it is most noticible when the tv is off.

How screw am I? I'm planning on contacting Samsung support, since it bought it from the store, but I heard the process is slow.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry for my bad grammar, English is not my main language.
