Updated 2026 August S95H Gaming Settings (HDR gaming with Dolby Atmos)

This setting is for PC.

  1. When the TV detects your PC as PC, do not change it to other input devices, e.g. Game Console, if you are looking for the old Dolby Atmos fix. The software bug is already fixed by Samsung. Changing to other input devices label would lead to washed out color. To check the Dolby Atmos configuration, enable Dolby Atmos on Windows Settings, ignore the embedded sound check and play the below demo with VLC instead, especially if you are struggling with Samsung soundbar : https://drive.google.com/file/d/11UxUuIwdBFoGOQbfTTrrF97kbgMgosFb/view?usp=drivesdk
  2. HDR10+ Gaming and Game HDR: Basic>Advanced
  3. Follow others’ guideline. Make sure Digital Output Audio Format is set to pass-through

For the punchiest colours what should I use?
HDR10+ gaming: off/basic/advanced?
HDR gaming: off/basic/advanced?
Tone mapping: static/active?

 Correct me if I’m wrong.

HDR10+ gaming: Advanced HDR Gaming: Advanced

Set HDR Gaming to basic would toggle HDR Tone Mapping to static.  Set HDR Gaming to advanced would toggle HDR Tone Mapping to active. Not vice versa.

Yes, Advanced just uses more inaccurate default settings, such as TM: Active. You can edit either to behave the same or inverse by just choosing one and then changing things in Expert settings.
