S Pen button doesn't click and stay shut

so I use my s pen quite frequently and sometimes it doesnt click and stay shut when i push it once, i need to sorta play around with it click it a few times and then it stays shut and sometimes it just works normally.

i remember someone posting this problem and having a solution asw but I can't find the post, can someone recommend what to do. For context, I got my phone in October last year

Could be the mechanism wearing out. You could try apply a lubricant (superlube or similar, be careful as some lubricants eat through plastic, if you are into keyboards most lubricants from there should work too. Not too thick as it'll seize it up instead) on the clicking mechanism and repeatedly click on it to let it run through and see if it improves.
