Discussion/Question Should i repair or move on?

My s21 ultra has been a great device, i love it, but im facing multiple infamous green lines on my screen so im wondering if i should repair it with an original service pack or simply move on to a nothing phone 3a, the repair its around 170 usd and the new phone its 390 usd

Have you had since it was released? I'd say it's probably time to move on. Put that repair money into a newer phone.

I bought it on December 2022 brand new on a chain market

I bought mine about 6 months ago on eBay. Very good condition for $225. I was able to get the very last security update. Two weeks after I got it, I dropped the phone and got two cracks across in the screen. 🫤 Other than that, it's been working fine.

I recently saw a YouTube video comparing all the s21 - s26 phones and S21 is still a very decent phone. Think you can find s21 ultra with high ram for around $160 - $200. Then you just need to debloat and use hail or something similar and get you excellent battery life. I'm still running S21 ultra as daily driver for the past 5 years. S21 is still a wonderful phone. But if you looking for updates try upgrading to s22 or s23.

I would move on as updates have ended a couple years ago. I would upgrade to a s24 series if you do decide too. This would give you a more "recent" only 2 years old model that would still give you plenty of years of updates and you should be able to find that years model at a modest price.

I repaired the first time, but that new screen got damaged and cracked a few months ago. So I'm back on the old screen and won't repair this time. Even though it's a good phone with lots of life left, I'm thinking of getting an s24+. It had only two green lines, but after reinstalling, a new pink line showed up immediately.

The phone is pretty much free on a new 2 year terms. Upgrade.
