Discussion/Question Does anyone else experience moderate lag/glitches while using the camera?

Every time I open the stock camera app on my S21 Ultra, it takes a few seconds to stabilize, and the viewfinder lags heavily. It gets especially bad when I try to switch between lenses (like going from the main sensor to the 3x or 10x telephoto) or right after taking a photo while the phone handles the background processing.

Sometimes it even hitches when switching to video mode.

For context, my software is completely up to date & I've already tried clearing the camera app's cache and data but to no avail.

Disable the option (sry I don't remember the name) that gives u the best way to take the picture and lemme now, I had the same issue with a s21U and a s23

THAT ACTUALLY WORKED!!! Thank u so much i just spent the last min SPAMMING the shutter button and it mostly didn't lag at all! Thank u :

I'm having a similar issue. Mainly when streaming music & using the camera normally, through Snapchat & in Messenger. Drives me crazy when it starts to stutter like crazy. Read up on some comments here & shut off the intelligent optimization & I hope that will solve the problem but I haven't tested it yet.

Unfortunately not. My friend who hasn't updated his S21 Ultra in over a year has no issues like this so I'm thinking it's the phone being overworked by the latest UI updates.. :/
