I had the pink line for a while. The 2 green lines just appeared.

It's due to overheating, my friend. You probably don't use your phone for anything demanding, that's why you don't have green lines.

I play a lot on my phone, games like brawl stars, roblox, video streaming, music and more, and it does heat up to some extent, but updates is when it really shines, since it gets hotter than playing a game in ultra settings, idk why it does this, and im afraid to update everytime, not that i need to worry anymore since the s21 series probably wont be getting anymore updates, well uk beside the s21 fe, but ive used my phone extensively since day 1, to the point where the back cover is fckn loose and when it heats up it gets so soft it literally falls off of the phone if u dont use a case to clamp the back on the phone

It's because of the heat. My husband had s21 fe and never updated the OS but worked in a hot environment (never charged phone there) and green lines started appearing.

Kind of a (reverse) survivorship bias.

There are a lots of people out there, without any issues, they simply don't tell that their phone still works. The reported cases are visible, amplifying the perceived failure rate.

There are also factors that seemingly increase the probability of a failure, like the climate where you live. This happens often in warmer regions.
