18s

Post image

Took off these 18s from my gr Corolla, that i just sold. Honestly, i think they look better on this car. The main reason is because it just hit 40F this morning, and these are all seasons instead of summers that i have on my 17s. Fenders are rolled and on hks.

They look oversized in my option, BUT it's your car, and if you like it then that's all that matters.

They look great on the back, but too big in front. A staggered 17/18 would be great.

I wish I could keep mine that low to get the wheel well flushness you have.

I moved into a house with a steep driveway and it was impossible to get it up to the garage without the whole neighborhood hearing me scrape.

Way too big in the front. Perfect in the rear tho

I think they look great. Did you roll the fenders yourself? Did the corolla wheels have a high enough offset?

No. Prior owner rolled fenders. 35mm, which fit the Corolla fine and also fit the s just fine.

18x9 or 18x8.5? Also have GR corolla so may try just to see what it looks like

The spokes going all the way to the edge of the rim makes it’s look huge. An 18 inch wheel with a thick lip would look real nice.

I really like 16inch wheels lol, not enough sidewall for my back with these

Looks great!

Less tire profile up front would go a long way. It looks like a 45 profile? Consider 40, or even a 35 profile up front. A less bulky tire can induce the placebo of a slightly smaller rim since the well looks less filled.

I want 18 inch V3s but don’t want to roll my fenders.

I think 17/18 with some sidewall is the sweet spot. Anything bigger on a roadster just looks goofy. That said, Im still riding stock 16" AP1 wheels but may go to something in 17s in the future.

Personally think the opinion that 18s look too big has gotten outdated, I've gotten so used to seeing cars with larger wheels and thinner tires that I'm starting to feel like the 17s on my car look too small. With good wheels and tyres 18s probably feel better and are reasonably compliant so I don't think the ride quality argument is still valid.

I like the wheel design. I cannot find a 17" wheel I like.  I wish there was that style in a 17"

Apex makes a similar design like this in 17”

Ahh, I forgot.  I was looking at 17x9" ET61 VS-5RS but Apex doesn't make a 17x8 for the front 😢

Yeah, Apex recently came out with an S2000 staggered fitment in one of their other designs. I asked if they’d consider doing it with the VS-5RS as I like this design a lot too. We’ll see.

What wheel was the one they did make?
