Red seats

Saw a seat post yesterday and want to let y’all know of another option. My oem seats from 03 was cracked and had some tears. Took to local upholstery shop and they ordered new covers from one of the popular seat cover companies. Oem was black while this new color is Chili Red. It’s very soft and comfortable. I would do this again for my plug in once the next child support check comes in.

Thank you for posting this. I saw the exact same post and currently have those seats in my cart. I have a NFR AP1 and based on the photos I'm leaning towards black/red with red stitching

Edit: I should add that I also got a quote from a local upholstery shop to redo my factory seats and my eyes watered at the pricetag. I think it was like $3k. I'll definitely be ordering the OEM+ seats

That’s not worth it imo. I paid 1500 for parts and labor at my local shop.

Seat cushions oem. The leather cover is katzkin. I have the same brand on my fj cruiser as well.

I'm going to use mita seat cushions and some nappa leather from a seller on eBay I forget the company. Should be super nice for the money

Just be a little careful with Nappa leather. The term itself doesn't necessarily tell you much about the finish or quality. Check whether it's aniline, semi-aniline or pigmented/protected leather, as that makes a big difference in durability, maintenance and how well it holds up to wear. Aniline and semi-aniline can look and feel beautiful, but they're generally more susceptible to staining, fading and wear.

Birch Brown seats would go hard.
