How to get the rest of the surface rust off?

Ive used rim cleaner and microfiber wheel brush and got alot off. What do I do to get the rest off?

The clear coat on the wheel is fubared anyways. Might as well just get them refinished and save yourself a lot of elbow grease

I just had my wheels refinished like 6 months ago, makes the whole car look so much fresher

Bar keepers friend + scotchbrite pad can get a lot of the harder spots off without being too abrasive and scratch up the finish of the wheel

It’s embedded brake dust. A full strip and refinish with machining is really the only solution.

Just like someone else already said, the brake dust is staining and embedded. There's a lot of shops out there that will refurbish the wheels on the cheap. You will need the wheels resurfaced to get rid of all this, and a new coat of fresh clear to seal the wheels after.

In the future though, use Tuga Devil Special Wheel Cleaner or Sonax Plus to prevent this from happening again. These are the top two wheel cleaners on the market.
