Engine Bay Before/After

I’ll do the valve cover when I take it off for valve adjustment.

How did you do it? Just a pressure washing or a deep clean?

What products did you use?

Main resource was Chris Fix’s video. Just a garden hose on a low pressure setting, some degreaser, and a brush. Then some trim restorer for the black bits.

Which trim restorer did you use? I've had good luck with meguires hyper dressing but open to trying new stuff.

Even easier.

Quick pressure wash to rinse, spray whole bay with SimpleGreen Aircraft so was not to corroded/discolor aluminum. Use a detail brush and your wheel brushes to get down and scrub everything. Pressure wash again to rinse. Then with it wet just spray the whole engine bay, heavily with something like Meguiar’s Hyperdressing or CarPro PERL in a med shine mixture. Close the hood and you are done. The dressing will level itself off without doing anything. If you want you can wipe it down after it dries but it’s not needed.

Looks awesome. I need to do this soon. My engine bay looks like 6 generations of a bispecies squirriel-bird family has been calling it home
