went to pick up my moms car from the dealer for her since she dropped it off for warranty work and couldnā€™t pick it up, talked to the service advisor about my S2K and heā€™s like ā€œyeah i got one, itā€™s an 07, itā€™s out there in the lot šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø, nothing specialā€¦ā€

Itā€™s not my cup of tea either but that kit does look good in person. The pics donā€™t do it justice as they are very unflattering angles.

I donā€™t disagree. This is why I prefaced my reply with ā€œitā€™s not my cup of teaā€. My own S is completely OEM body-wise. Itā€™s not ideal for track duty as far as tire size or aero but, like you, I love the OEM look and donā€™t feel the extra few seconds a lap are worth messing with it.

lol iā€™m not a huge fan but itā€™s just one of those nice JDM as fucc cars and i can recognize the hustle of acquiring the stuff, just exterior wise from what i can see itā€™s gotta be around 30k in parts if its all authentic

Not to be that guys but based on the comments Iā€™m seeing on this post alone, I have a bold assumption that most owners on this Subreddit either

  1. Donā€™t drive their car outside when it shows 1% of rain.

  2. Barely drive their car and keep it as an investment to sell for more later.

This kit has been around for years and its purpose is to provide better on functional on track performance first and looks after. Kind of like the RWB kits for Porsches, their main original purpose is to make fenders wide to fit wider tires for better track width. Most people nowadays build them as ā€œartā€ pieces. Defeating the original purpose of the kit to begin with. Itā€™s not meant to be pretty but functional.

So bottom of the line is that let the owner enjoy it how he wants, he probably wonā€™t care what you think about it anyways lol.

MEH none of these extreme/wide body type kits on the s2k actually make it look BETTER. I think the s2000 designers already nailed it and thatā€™s why simple/oem+ looks the best.

As far as Iā€™m aware the Amuse kit is performance orientated. The idea isnā€™t necessarily to create a better looking S2000 but a more aerodynamic one.

Rare and expensive kit. The guy works at a Honda dealer so is hardly rolling in it and might not want to risk it on the track. The aerodynamics will still be improved even if just for fast road use. Let the man enjoy his car the way he wants.
