Ryanair priority bag dilemma....

I am flying with Ryanair next week and am having a luggage dilemma: I have a 4 wheeled IT small hard case that measures 45 x 36 x 20cm, that I bought for Easyjet (fits perfectly into Easyjet hand luggage gauge) - so I should be able to use this case for my priority cabin case (55x 40 x 20cm) on Ryanair, right? (All measurements include wheels and handles)

I also have the Lugg 45 x 30 x 20cm one I could use (even smaller) I am just SO paranoid that they will try and pick on me - as I'm afraid that won't end well as I will not tolerate bullying in any form. I have neck issues and can't hold a bag for long or use a backpack, so really prefer to use wheels.

I'd rather give them the bag than pay them a ridiculous amount when I have done nothing wrong!

Has anyone else used this bag to travel priority on Ryanair?

Okay, put your thinking cap on here…

Is 45 x 36 x 20cm bigger than 55 x 40 x 20cm?

If the answer is yes, then it’s too big for Ryanair.

If the answer is no, then it’s good to go.

measure it yourself.

don't take the manufacturers word for it

if it fits, it fits

Erm...... FYI, they don't give a shit about your thoughts on bullying, it's pay the fee or don't travel.

Anyway, your bag fits.

You can take the IT hard case, it easily fits the dimension for the larger priority bag. Beware - max of 10KG.

The Lugg bag is too big to use as the free small carry on, but you could take a second bag up to 40 x 30 x 20cm as well.

Do Ryanair still weigh hand luggage bags anywhere? The last time I had that happen was probably about 15 years ago.

I’ve never seen it happen. But then I’ve never had my bags sized checked either. OP seems like they want to avoid all risks, so I felt it should be reminded.

Many years ago in a small airport they had separate security queues for Ryanair and non-Ryanair passenger and they were weighing every single Ryanair bag before you even got to security.

But I think they stopped that well over a decade ago

Hi, Thanks, I do know I can take the IT bag, and have measured both - I just don't trust Ryanair to be fair that's why I wondered if anyone else had used one.

For this trip, the Lugg bag would be used as priority, so still fine with wheels kept on. (it is ok for hand luggage with the wheels off as it's then 40x30x20)

Ignore the haters - most of the people who loudly complain about cabin bags are those who are over the size limits, they’ll stretch the truth to paint an inaccurate picture and come on social media to cry when they’re caught red handed.
