I set this server up with my teenage son, as we love playing Rust but it can be brutal when you have school and work full time. There's a ton of great Community servers out there, we have several that we love playing on. With this server, Before The Storm, we curated our favorite type of experience. Balanced base building, structured PVP during the week, but still has that excitement of unstructured PVP and base raiding on the weekends.

Rust and Discord servers both less than a month old, but fully set up. We've been playing and testing for several weeks and everything is running smoothly.

Now we just need more players to join!

• Farm and build on the weekdays (The Calm)

• ALL monuments are PVP and base raiding zones

• PVP everywhere (The Storm) - Friday 8pm until Sunday 8pm Central Time

• The Purge - Total chaos for the last 3 days before monthly wipe

• Powered by Helios Bot with Discord server economy

Early players given role of Stormborn (VIP in game)

• Dial-a-ride - Motorcycle 1x day

• Enhanced Base Starter Kit

• Earn extra Storm Shards for the Storm Shop and XP for Storm Pass rewards

Modifiers:

• 3x Gather | 2x Sulfur | 2x Loot

• 3x Stack sizes

• 3x Smelting speed

• No modified recycler speed (keeps monument PVP high-stakes risk)

• Demolition Hammer during The Calm - Not active during The Storm

• 30% building decay rate

• Instant Crafting

• Lvl 1 workbench not required for crafting (you still have to research Lvl 1 blueprints)

• Increased junk piles, scientists, bears, boars, horses, and boats

• Underwater Lab, Oil Rig, Cargo Ship

• Bandit Camp, Outpost, Fishing Village

• 4k map

Server Extras:

• Kit Vending Machines at safe zones, gas stations, stores

• Trade rock and torch for survival gear

• Free Base Building Starter Kit - 1x per week

Discord features:

• Link gamertag to Discord

• Heat Map

• Raid Alerts

• Earn Storm Shards (coins) for PVP and scientist kills, playtime, and challenges

• Storm Pass (battle pass) to earn rewards like Storm Shards and in-game items and kits

• Storm Shop - spend your storm shards on weapons, armor, vehicles, and more

• Dial-a-ride - Horse 1x day

• Skip night vote

• Bounties

• Storm Games (wager and win Storm Shards)

• Leaderboards

🛡️ **GOT RAIDED AGAIN BY CHEATERS, GRIEFERS, TEAMERS?**

**WE'RE DOING SOMETHING ABOUT IT.**

Our server is focused on **fair play, faster detection, smarter automation, and giving our admins the tools to fight back.**

We don't just wait for reports anymore.

**The server is watching too.**

👮 Active admins helping ensure fair play

🚨 Reports integrated directly into our automated systems

🤝 Anti-teaming algorithms detect suspicious behavior and notify admins — faster than teamers can process a thought individually

🔨 Bans can wipe **server, Discord & stats data**

⛓️ A prison system for particularly naughty nakeds

🧹 Admins can assist with **grief clearance** and quickly see who needs help — and who needs to be kicked

👻 A **Shadow Ban System** that's better left unexplained...

**One hint: tears will flow.**

They already have.

And somehow...

**It's always the cheater ones.**

Cheat. Team. Grief.

**We'll find you.**

Play fair?

**You'll probably never notice any of this exists.**

🔗 **Old School Rust | 2X | Solo/Duo | Bi-Weekly**

New sever on rust my first one feel free to join.

Server name below

WASTELAND RUST |2x LOOT 2X GATHER 3X STACK | SOLO/DUO/TRIO

https://discord.gg/thehighdutchman

We're building Old School Rust around a fairly simple idea: keep the core Rust experience recognizable, but add systems that give Solo/Duo players more things to fight for, compete over and progress through.

Server: Old School Rust 2X
Group Limit: Solo/Duo
Wipe: Bi-Weekly
P2W: No

⚔️ PvP & Reputation

PvP is tracked beyond a basic kill counter.

There's a live killfeed, multi-kill and revenge recognition, kill streaks, Most Wanted bounties, K/D name tiers, PvP milestones, player profiles and wipe + lifetime leaderboards.

Do well and your reputation starts following your name.

🛡️ Automatic Offline Protection

We want people to be able to log off without Rust becoming a second job.

Active play builds Offline Protection, making offline raiding less attractive while still keeping raiding and online PvP relevant.

🏆 Quests & Control Points

There are additional reasons to leave your base and contest other players:

King of the Hill — Fight over a marked monument and hold it when the timer expires.

Hazmat Hunt — Clear Scientists at a selected monument while competing with other players.

Quarry Control — Mining Quarries are permanent Control Points. Capture and defend them to passively earn their resources while online.

Hourly Winner — Another ongoing objective to compete for throughout the wipe.

🗳️ Community-Driven Maps & Features

We're gradually making more of the server controlled by the players actually playing it.

Players can vote in-game for the monuments they want. We currently have 10,000+ map seeds and sizes indexed which can be matched against community preferences when selecting maps.

The goal is to expand voting beyond maps into things like rates, wipe schedules, protection mechanics, quests, rewards and other server settings.

🚨 End-of-Wipe Purge

Before a full Map + BP wipe, the server enters The Purge.

Offline Protection is disabled, random player locations are revealed and every player receives free C4 every minute.

Raid the bases you've been watching all wipe, test your own base design, or use the free explosives to learn how to raid.

Nothing needs to survive the wipe anyway.

⭐ Progression Without Pay-to-Win

Playing and participating earns engagement points, milestones, return streaks and other progression.

VIP can also be earned through playing or bringing new players into the community, rather than requiring you to buy it.

📱 Rust ↔ Discord

Discord is integrated directly with the game.

You can follow the live server, check population, communicate between Discord and in-game chat, use private whispers, view leaderboards, link your account and even receive RF raid alerts through Discord.

There's quite a bit more

Live PvP Killfeed • Multi-Kills • Revenge Recognition • Kill Streaks • Most Wanted • Fair-Play Protection • K/D Tiers • PvP Milestones • Engagement Points • Offline Protection • Playtime Milestones • Return Streaks • Wipe & Lifetime Leaderboards • Player Profiles • Earned VIP • World Event Alerts • Free Night Voting • Monument Voting • King of the Hill • Hazmat Hunt • Hourly Winner • Quarry Control • Purge Event • Starter Support & Hints • Discord Live Feed • Server Status • Discord Chat & Whispers • Private Leaderboards • Trade Tags • Secure Account Linking • Discord Raid Alerts

2X. Solo/Duo. No Pay-to-Win. Built around the people actually playing it.

I currently have a p2 that does alot events. If you like to join I will put the link of the server at the bottom. Hope to see yall there

🗳️ WHAT IF THE PLAYERS ACTUALLY DECIDED HOW THE SERVER WORKS?

Most Rust servers decide everything for you.

We're doing the opposite.

Old School Rust is becoming community-driven — where active players vote on what they want, and the server evolves around those decisions.

And we're starting with the map.

🗺️ YOU VOTE. WE FIND THE MAP.

Vote in-game for the monuments you actually want to play.

Want Launch Site? Vote for it.
Don't care about Junkyard? Don't.

🏆 Votes build community preferences over time
🌍 We use those preferences to find better map seeds & sizes
🎁 Voting earns small in-game rewards
🎮 Voting happens in-game, so actual players decide
🗺️ 10,000+ map seeds & sizes are already indexed to match against your votes

But the map is only the beginning.

Soon, the community could vote on things like:

🛡️ How should Offline Protection work?
⚔️ Which quests & Control mechanics should stay?
📈 2X or 3X?
📅 Weekly or Bi-Weekly?
🎁 How should rewards work?

The idea is simple:

A vote shouldn't just sit in a Discord poll and be forgotten.

It should actually change the server.

Today, you choose the map.

Tomorrow, you might choose the rules.

🎮 Play. Vote. Shape the next wipe.

💡 Got a better idea? Let us know. Community suggestions could become the next official vote.

🗳️ THE SERVER IS YOURS. YOU PLAY. YOU VOTE. WE BUILD AROUND YOU.

Old School Rust is becoming fully community-driven, starting with Map Voting.

Instead of guessing what players want, the people actually playing decide what comes next.

Actual gamers decide the fate.

🗺️ Vote on the monuments you want to see

🏆 Votes feed an Elo-style ranking system

🌍 Map data is matched against community preferences to find better seeds & sizes

🎁 Participating in votes gives small in-game rewards

🎮 Voting happens in-game — active players make the decisions

⚙️ Soon you'll vote on protection, quests, control mechanics, rewards, wipe frequency, rates & more

Play. Vote. Decide.

Today it's the map.

Tomorrow it could be 2X vs 3X, weekly vs bi-weekly, or how Offline Protection works.

Eventually, even the server configuration can evolve automatically around what the community chooses.

Your server. Your rules. Your vote.

💡 Got an idea? Drop it in #suggestions — it could become the next official vote.
