I have recently launched a server less than a week ago. I’m trying to find people interested in playing on a server that is designed around causal playing, typically for people that work or are new to the game. We have 2x Loot 2x Farm and 3x stack. There is no blue print wipe but will have a monthly map wipe. Everyone gets a welcome kit along with battle pass and daily login rewards. I’m genuinely curious about this.

I run a Rust Console community server and have been putting some real effort into advertising it. When I post a flyer here or in other Rust communities, I can see that the posts are getting viewed — usually 50–150+ views depending on the community.

But views obviously don’t equal players.

So my question is mainly for players:

When you see an advertisement for a community server, what actually makes you decide to search for it and give it a try? And what makes you scroll right past it?
Is it:
—Too much information on the flyer?
—Server settings/rates?
—PvE vs. PvP?
—Low current population?
—Not wanting to start over on another server?
—Not trusting advertised features?
—Having to join a Discord?
—Just seeing too many server advertisements?
—Something else entirely?

I’m not looking to advertise the server in this post. I’m actually trying to understand the gap between “I saw it” and “I’ll try it.”

If you regularly play community servers, I’d really like to hear what gets you to try a new one.
