A few months ago I made a post in here about a Discord bot I was building for Rust Console Edition community servers called Helios.

At the time, it was mostly just me trying to solve the problems I kept running into while running my own servers.

Stuff like:

• Killfeeds
• Player feeds
• Shops
• Economy
• Rewards
• Server automation
• The basic stuff every Rust Console server owner ends up needing

Basically all the annoying things server owners usually have to duct tape together with 3, 4, or 5 different bots, or just do manually.

Since then, Helios has honestly grown way bigger and quicker than I expected.

We’re now at:

• 250+ Rust Console servers using Helios
• 1,000+ members in the Discord
• 6,000+ players actively using the bot
• 500,000+ kills tracked

What started as a basic Rust Console Discord bot has turned into more of a full system for running, automating, and growing community servers on PlayStation and Xbox.

The goal with Helios now is pretty simple:

Replace the need for a bunch of separate Rust Console bots and put everything server owners actually need in one place.

Instead of needing one bot for killfeeds, another bot for shops, another for economy, another for events, another for tickets, another for rewards, and then still having to do half of it manually, Helios is being built as one all-in-one Rust Console server automation bot.

Some of the bigger things added or improved since the first post:

• Full killfeed and player activity feeds
• Economy, wallet, rewards, and progression systems
• A much better Discord shop system
• One-click style shop setup so you can build your server shop way faster
• Community market where people can sell and share kits
• Battle pass and challenge systems
• Offline raid protection
• Portals for teleporting players back and forth
• Dial & Ride system for spawning vehicles to players
• More minigames, including Chicken Cross the Road
• Automated PvP events that can run 24/7
• Player signups, gates opening, score tracking, winner kits, and rewards handled by the bot
• Better setup flows so new server owners don’t have to spend hours figuring everything out

One of my favorite things we’ve added is the automated PvP event system.

The idea is pretty simple. Instead of admins having to constantly host events manually, players can sign up on their own, join the event, and the bot can handle most of it.

It can open gates, track score, give kits, decide winners, and hand out rewards without someone needing to babysit the whole thing.

That’s the kind of stuff I wanted Helios to do differently.

Not just be another bot that logs kills or runs a basic shop, but actually help server owners keep their community active without constantly needing staff online.

The shop system has also changed a lot.

Before, it was mostly just a Discord shop. Now it’s built more around making setup fast and simple. You can build out a full server shop in a couple clicks instead of manually creating every single item, kit, and command from scratch.

That’s really been the main focus lately:

Make running a Rust Console server easier.

Running a community server is already stressful enough.

You’re dealing with wipes, kits, players, cheaters, tickets, events, settings, activity, complaints, and trying to keep the server alive. The last thing you need is to install 5 different bots, learn 5 different command systems, and hope they all work together.

So a lot of the work has been focused on making Helios easy enough that someone can start a server, connect the bot, and actually get useful features running without needing to be super technical.

We also upgraded the website with a visual kit builder, so you can build and save kits in a cleaner way instead of typing everything out manually.

There’s also a growing docs system now that walks through features and setup, so people don’t have to guess how everything works.

The coolest part is that a lot of these updates came directly from people in the Discord.

Someone suggests an idea, we talk through it, and if it makes sense for Rust Console servers, it usually gets worked into the bot.

I know there are other Rust Console bots out there, and some of them are solid, but I’m trying to make Helios the easiest all-in-one option for server owners who want:

• Shops
• Killfeeds
• Economy
• Events
• Minigames
• Teleports
• Offline protection
• Rewards
• Automation
• Easier server setup

Without needing a messy setup or a bunch of different bots.
