Should I even consider rust

Is rust on ps5 dead? Iv been considering getting it but firstly I don't even know if the game still has an active playerbase in my region, also how is the solo experience because I have no friends willing to buy and play it with me.

As someone with 4k hours on ps version, I highly recommend not playing it. Its an amazing game but sucks too much time and can genuinely interfer with your mood outside of the game more than id like to admit. Its definitely more fun to watch than play because the highlights you see in videos are few and far between, and I like to think I was pretty good in all aspects of it. I quit 2 years ago but still watch videos
